so i went to church last Sunday.which was yesterday.
they were talking about tithes, and i absolutely do not believe in it. partly because i don't believe that God would hold it against us if choose not to do so and mainly because i think its a load of crap.
the pastor narrated a story about a rich christian who went to heaven. he walked the streets of heaven and saw big mansions where the people who die live when they are in heaven.he walked past those houses and stopped in front of a roof with a post.the rich man then asked why that was so. he gave to the church and it didn't made sense to him. st.peter then said to him that that was all he gave to the church so that was what all he deserved.
it was a funny story but really shallow...
i mean does GOD choose to judge you by the material things that you have given or the lives you changed, the time you gave a lost soul, the moments you shared or the people you touched.
i refuse to believe that God judges us for what we have given. instead, i believe that God gives us our own will and blessings for us to choose whether we use it rightfully or end up as selfish bastards...
but then again that's just me.
